OREGON FAIR HOUSING COURSE 2 HOURS
Price: $45.00
2 hours
EnrollThis two-hour Fair Housing course provides Oregon real estate licensees with a practical understanding of federal and state fair housing laws and their application in real-world transactions. The course fulfills Oregon’s mandatory fair housing continuing education requirement for license renewal.
Licensees will review the Fair Housing Act and Oregon-specific protections, with a focus on prohibited conduct in housing and lending, enforcement responsibilities, and recent fair housing case examples. Through real-world scenarios and case-based instruction, students will learn how discrimination can occur through policies, screening practices, rule enforcement, lending decisions, and professional conduct.
The course also explains Oregon’s enforcement framework, including the role of the Oregon Bureau of Labor & Industries (BOLI), how complaints are investigated, and how fair housing violations can impact a real estate license. Special attention is given to sexual harassment in housing, disability-related accommodations, and Oregon Senate Bill 599 addressing immigration and citizenship status protections.
By the end of the course, licensees will be better equipped to recognize fair housing risks, apply consistent and lawful practices, and protect both consumers and their professional license.
